The Sickle Cell Houston's Amazing Race & 5k/1k is to raise awareness of sickle cell disease, its lack of resources, the health disparities, and the inequalities associated with being born with the rare condition. Your participation helps send the most powerful message of unity, hope, and triumph to the survivors of this devastating genetic disorder. The walk's proceeds support families affected by sickle cell and provide education about the disease and its progressive nature. Proceeds also educate the sickle cell community on research and therapeutic developments.
